Como Rotary generates funds for our community projects and support of charities by various fundraising activities such as:
Como Rotary Classic Car Show
Our premier fundraising event each year in September is the Classic Car Show held at Wesley College, South Perth. Support of this event by local car clubs, and sponsorship by local businesses and others, along with public entry charges are key to the success of this event to provide significant funds for our community charity support programme through the year.
Sausage Sizzles
Barbecues at local hardware warehouse outlets on weekends through the year are regularly manned by club members and are important fundraisers for the club.
We also conduct BBQ's in support of other organisations.
Containers for Change
To donate 10c per container to Como Rotary when you deposit your containers as part of the Containers for Change Programme, use the Rotary Club of Como scheme number C10296408. This will remit the funds to our fundraising account and be used for our charities support. There is also a positive environmental impact from recycling the containers.
Donation Boxes at retail stores
A number of boxes for loose change collection at various local community retail stores who support our club, collect funds for us. Keep an eye out for them!
